Grindelwald station, post-office, drug store, cinema and sports centre are easily reached on foot in a few minutes

Ground Floor

Your terrace gives you a breathtaking view of the most imposing mountain in the entire Swiss Alps – the world-famous Eiger, whose infamous North Wall goes on making mountaineering history year by year. Innumerable climbers try their luck on this challenge, and many of them are beaten by its capricious moods!

Every day you can experience the best of untamed Nature right on your doorstep: start with the sunrise – a truly unforgettable spectacle – then see the afternoon sun transform the Wall into golden orange or luminous red, and before retiring for the night, don’t miss the moonlit shadows on its rockfaces.

Upper Floor

Only a few minutes walk from your chalet is Pfingstegg mountain railway station. This cableway takes you up to Mettenberg at the foot of the Schreckhorn, a magnificent viewpoint offering a unique panorama over Grindelwald and the entire valley. In less than an hour you can easily walk from here to the upper or lower Grindelwald glacier. It is after these two glaciers that Grindelwald is nicknamed the “Glacier Village”.
