A non Swiss person can purchase Hotels and commercial business' without the need for a residential permit. Due to increase property prices and new changes in the Swiss law which stop new construction in the mountain resorts, some investors have decided to purchase a small hotel and reserve part of the hotel for private use. This can be equally attractive as purchasing a large apartment or chalet.
